Dan Thornton is president and founder of TIA (Thornton Investment Advisors, LLC), a registered investment advisory firm that specializes in fee-based asset management and financial planning.  Dan graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a minor in Economics.  He later earned an MBA with special emphasis on Finance and Tax Law.  Before entering financial services he was an executive in the aerospace industry.  He has taught college courses in economics and accounting and provided lectures and workshops on investing, retirement planning, and estate preservation.

Mr. Thornton uses state of the art, fundamental and technical analysis tools to support TIA’s goals of providing returns that exceed the market averages while limiting the risk of capital erosion.  He is the leader of Investment Business Daily’s meet-up group in Marietta/Roswell, Georgia and is an active member of many independent security evaluation organizations.  Dan has an extensive network of leading experts in fields related to his work that clients benefit from, and, if appropriate, are referred to.
